“Eat Pray Love” makes the audiences want to eat, pray, love and eat a little more. The movie inspired by the book “Eat Pray Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert, has been transformed by director Ryan Murphy. The movie starring Julia Roberts, as a relationship challenged Liz Gilbert, is in desperate need of a change in her life. After Liz’s failed marriage and failed long term relationship leaves her depressed she is in desperate need of a change.  Liz Gilbert decides to go on an adventure to find what she wants in life by traveling to Italy, India and eventually in full circle to Bali where the movie began. This inspiring movie of self discovery is uplifting to women of all generations. The overall goal is to show the need for women to remove the masks they wear in their day to day life.  “Eat Pray Love” is successful in inspiring women to find their own path by showing the many challenges and at time failures it takes to become truly happy. This movie is also important for women who are struggling to find their path in life no matter their age. The importance of exploring new cultures is emphasized in the theme of the film. A movie that shows women in a positive light is refreshing after all the negative images of women in reality shows. “Eat Pray Love” fits in the self help section of romantic comedies and will influence the viewer at the bare minimum to eat.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I took my mom to see it last weekend and it is defiantly a chick flick! But Julia Roberts is her usual fantastic self on it. The plot itself was a tad cheese but what chick flick isn’t? It is something I would recommend to go see with your best friend, sisters or mom. No boys allowed.

I can’t wait to see this movie. Julia Roberts movies are my guilty pleasure, especially Runaway Bride and Notting Hill!

I really love Julia Roberts, she is one of my favorite actresses. I haven’t seen the movie but do want to watch it eventually. Some people say it wasn’t that good but any film with Julia Roberts I think is worth watching (for the most part anyway).

While it does look like a good movie, I feel like the brand itself is overshadowing the meaning. I’ve seen more “eat/pray/love” accessories and journals than actual copies of the book.
