Had some spicy, hot salsa last night

I attended the Marc Anthony concert last night as a reviewer for Broadside and I can say one word: Phenomenal.

Knowing absolutely none of his songs besides the famous “I Need to Know,” there was not a moment I wasn’t enjoying myself.

The crowd was wild, the music was deafening and Anthony was brilliant.

Here are some pictures from the event:

I love me some spicy, hot salsa. It’s gotta be chunky, too, with loads of fresh cilantro. But I digress.

As big of a pop music/latino star as he is, I was even more impressed with his acting in Man on Fire (2004). It’s not easy to make the shift from musician to actor, let alone be taken seriously in a movie starring the legendary (yes, he’s a legend) Denzel Washington. He definitely gained some respect, at least in my eyes, when the film came out. And then, he married J-Lo…

A far cry from her previous media-crazed romance with Ben Affleck, there’s a reason J-Lo married him. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t his dashingly handsome feautures, (with all due respect). Anothony has some serious charisma, and I imagine he knows how to put on a fantastic show.

I was never the biggest Marc Anthony fan, and his stock definitely dropped for me after he sang the national anthem at the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins game last year and rooted for the Dolphins (I am a huge Jets fan). However, as the comment says above me his acting was terrific in one of my favorite movies, Man On Fire. And of course, everyone knows the song, “I Need To Know,” and it is pretty catchy.

I have to admit I was never into listening to Marc Anthony but not I think he is pretty good. It is so awesome he was on campus, he was recently in different latin american countries too as part of his world tour and several people who went to one of his concerts in Ecuador say it was amazing.

I agree with Alex, the “I need to know” song is one of those songs that if you listen to it early in the morning it will be stuck in your head the rest of the day.. like it is now. And any man who is owner/half owner of a football team has to be a good man.
