Godsmack defending Steven Tyler?
Written on November 8, 2010 – 11:16 pm | by Alex Howard
After receiving criticism from Kid Rock and Slash for joining the American Idol crew, Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler is getting backed up by Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna for his decision. Tyler’s move has been criticized because he decided to temporarily leave the band. Erna has a few simple words for Kid Rock: “Shut Up!”
Check out this link and see how Erna responds to Tyler’s critics!

I kind of agree that it’s B.S. that Tyler is taking time off from writing and recording to do American Idol, but who is Kid Rock to criticize anybody? Hey Kid Rock, remember when you took a classic rift and made it into that shiteous song “All Summer Long?” We do.
Didn’t Slash appear on American Idol last year? Say what you will about Axl Rose being a nutjob (which he is) but I’ll always maintain that Slash has done way more to damage the GNR legacy (collaborating with Fergie, writing a tell-all book).
I think he should be able to do whatever he wants to do. It’s not like they don’t have enough money to be fine anyway, so why not let the man do something he wants to do? And I’m pretty sure Slash has been on A.I.
