Real-life Drama for Reality Stars

In previous discussions, we talked about whether or not ‘Teen Mom’ is setting a good example for young teenage girls. As it turns out, however, the young stars of the show are making the decision for us. In light of the domestic abuse problems with one of the girls, many people are starting to see the unhealthy behaviors that this show captures.

At this point I think teens and even young adults are going to do what they want to do. We have learned about safe sex, safe drinking, safe driving, etc. Regardless, some people are going to listen, and some people aren’t. For me, teen mom is strictly for entertainment purposes, and watching the show only makes me want to hold out even longer on having a baby. As far as Amber goes, she is just over-the-top ridiculous!
Hey at least this is finally showing the girls out there that something like teen pregnancy isn’t glamorous, its something that you need to seriously think about when you decide to have sex. Do you want a baby, are you ready for one? I think shows like that are showing that its perfectly fine to ask those questions.
