Phil Collins Writing a Book on Alamo Artifacts

After his release of “Going Back,” an album of R&B cover songs, we should have assumed anything was possible for Genesis front-man and solo artist Phil Collins. But really, who saw this coming?

Billboard.com reports that Collins is currently working on a new project: a book about his “extensive collection” of Alamo and Texas Revolution artifacts. Not sure how the book’s going to be, or who’s going to buy it, but Collins sure is a Renaissance man.

Check out the best thing Phil Collins has ever been a part of here.

I absolutely LOVE Phil Collins. In my mind, the man can do no wrong. Strange and a little off-his-rocker, he is to music what Chuck Norris is to movies and Hasselhoff is to TV. Except he actually has talent. Not sure I would buy a book about Alamo artifacts, regardless of who is writing it, but the man has to do something with his time and money. I imagine he has a lot of both these days.

Great link, by the way. My favorite, like many, is In the Air Tonight.

Also, he drummed on Eno’s “Another Green World” (!)
