Grunge making a comeback?

Here’s an interesting article to feast your eyes on! Is the wishy-washy, fast-paced music with the distorted guitar sound really coming back into the public’s eye? With many 90s grunge bands such as Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots and The Smashing Pumpkins reuniting, there is a distinct possibility that grunge is making a comeback.

I’ve felt trapped in the 90s musically for years now, so all these reunions and new albums have been awesome for me. In response to the article–I think last night’s amazing Alice in Chains show proved that it absolutely deserves to make a comeback. The revolution has begun.

It’s cool to see that some of the old grunge bands are coming back, but I wouldn’t say that the entire music genre is coming back until some new grunge bands come out. That I would like to see.

I’ve definitely noticed the grunge vibe in some new bands. I guess the 90’s sound on a broader level. One particular new band is Wavves from San Diego, they have some very Kurt Kobain sounding hooks with that 90’s punk rock feel. It’s good stuff.
